JD is a partner in our Turnaround and Restructuring Practice, based in Dallas.
He brings more than 20 years of experience driving performance and profitability improvements across the manufacturing sector, having led projects at more than 250 facilities worldwide. In addition to leading large-scale transformations, JD advises clients on business turnarounds and mergers and acquisitions across the globe.
His career spans many industries, the majority focusing on automotive, aerospace and defense, industrials, food and beverage, and mining.

JD’s recent work includes serving as interim COO for a PE-owned automotive manufacturer, where he helped boost earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) from -25% to 5% in under six months. The turnaround drew on four-wall improvements, supplier cost reductions, and customer price negotiations.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Yale University and an MBA from Duke University. JD is also a certified Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt, applying the scientific method to business and manufacturing challenges.
Outside of work, JD coaches his son's football, baseball, and hockey teams. He also enjoys hooking up the trailer and traveling across Texas to support his daughter's barrel racing and rodeo ambitions.
