An economist and an expert in governance matters, Federico is currently a senior advisor, mainly based in Rome.
He previously served as a partner in our Government and Public Institutions Practice, working with multilateral development banks and organizations, central banks, and selected areas of government.
Federico is also a full professor (professore straordinario) at Università Guglielmo Marconi and a lecturer in economic policy at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. He has extensively published in English and Italian, mainly on economic and monetary topics and governance issues.

He is a member of the executive committee of Aspen Institute Italy, a senior fellow at the Center for International Governance Innovation, a senior fellow at ISEA, and a senior fellow at the Transatlantic Leadership Network. He has also been a fellow at the Center for Transatlantic Relations of SAIS Johns Hopkins University, a senior adviser to the vice president of the European Investment Bank, an adviser and member of the executive board of the World Bank, and an adviser in the Independent Evaluation Group.
Federico holds a degree in economics (MSc) from Bocconi University and a PhD in economic history from the same university.
In his free time, Federico enjoys playing bridge and studying history. He is married with three children.
